The Family behind the brand

When we look back, it’s clear—God has been guiding our steps the whole way. Roston Athletic Club wasn’t something we rushed into. It wasn’t just about launching a business. It was something we’d hoped and prayed for—something that truly made sense for our family.

For years, my husband and I talked about starting something of our own. We had all kinds of ideas—some totally out there, some honestly pretty good—but none of them ever felt right. Nothing really lined up with who we are or the kind of life we’re building together… until pickleball.

A few years ago, we were introduced to the game by a group of friends. And while we loved the game itself, it was everything around it that really pulled us in. We started playing every Monday night—just us, the kids, and a growing group of people who loved it just as much as we did. We’d show up as the sun was going down, the air cooling off, and we’d play for hours. We’d say we were only staying for an hour or two, but somehow it always turned into four. Those nights were some of our absolute favorite summer memories—filled with fun, friends, and time that actually felt slow and meaningful. Every week ended the same way—with a stop at In-N-Out, still in our court clothes, talking and laughing about the night.

After a year of those Mondays, we started to see it. We’d tried just about every paddle brand out there, but they all kind of felt the same. They were fine—but there wasn’t anything that stood out. It was all very focused on the sport side of pickleball—performance, specs, stats—but it missed the bigger picture.

That’s when the idea clicked.

We didn’t just want to build a paddle. We wanted to build a brand that captured everything we loved about the game. The fun, the friendships, the style. Something high-quality and high-end—but also warm, inviting, and connected.

Roston Athletic Club is more than just pickleball.

It’s about getting outside and spending time together. It’s about slowing down, unplugging, and being present. It’s about fun nights that turn into lasting memories.

We’ve got big dreams for what’s ahead: sponsored players, a strong team culture, community events, and new ways to bring people together through this sport we love.
